We decided to try out Salerno's at their new location on 407. Weve visited their old location which had pretty good food and a nice cozy ambiance. Sadly, the new place was disappointing. The good: Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The bad: Harsh lighting. Bad pasta sauce muddled and bland. Breaded chicken tasted reheated from frozen, calamari was way over cooked and dark with only the same blah sauce. Over all, we were disappointed. Service was good but food quality less than expected. Ironically, the same company owns Bistecca across the street which is excellent. I see some really glowing reviews of Salerno's here so I can only assume we came on a bad night.
