Stayed here for part of our honeymoon, the review ...

Stayed here for part of our honeymoon, the review encompasses everything including hotel, food and spa. The valet was friendly and fairly quick, but the front desk staff was rather hit or miss, and occasionally more full of themselves than friendly -- not exactly what you expect from a resort stay. We were wanting a king room with our initial reservation but were put in a double queen and then forced to pay for an upgrade just in order to get the king bed we had booked. That said, the upgrade to the junior suite was worth it for the room and I would recommend the room type. One major drawback with our stay was the shuttle service at the resort. While the resort is walkable, they encourage the use of their shuttle service which then never comes. We waited a solid 40 minutes after dinner for a shuttle which is supposed to run "every 10 minutes," and the shuttle only came after my personally calling the hotel. When we brought this up to the front desk the young man working that evening was entirely unconcerned. The food at the Lantana (hotel tower restaurant) for dinner and breakfast was good but service took quite a while, especially during dinner. The service at the Yacht Club was much more responsive and dinner was outstanding, definitely stop by. We also took a spa day, all of which was beautifully relaxing. We hardly ran into any other guests at the spa the entire time -- had our own private spa experience! Our couples massage was perfect, and the entire staff was very friendly, welcoming, and completely focused on our relaxation. Overall a good stay, but definitely some room for improvement in a luxury resort.
