Try to go as early as possible. We went at 9/9:30u and it was already busy. When we left (10:30u) you could barely move due to the many tourists with cameras before their faces. When you go, try to soak it all in and do not constantly worry about taking pictures. We went to the museum first, that way we immediately knew what we were looking at when we arrived at the akropolis. Also the view of the city is beautiful.
