As a lover of art and Jimi , this place was just the kind of place for me to spend my afternoon.
The architecture of the building is so neat and awesome to see. The shapes, colors and materials used for the outside of the building are definitely intriguing to the eye. The location of the museum is pretty neat too, right by the Seattle space needle. The art pieces that reside on the outside of the building are pretty interactive and enjoyable for all.
The large tornado like structure of guitars is pretty trippy to see but awesome to capture on video or in a photo. I also enjoyed the live music via a band that was playing in one of the main open rooms of the museum. There s a studio room, where you can record vocals or instruments , it s a really cool idea. There was this hall of screams that was pretty entertaining and fun to walk through. The horror film exhibit was a treat for me, there were life like models of monsters and villains.
Now, for the part I literally won t ever forget, the Jimi exhibit...
I adore Jimi so much!!! Seeing some of his personal belongings and his notes and songs and all kinds of amazingness was more than satisfying for me!!! There was so much to see, from his fashion , to a recording studio setup of that in which he worked in... it was definitely an awesome sight.
I recommend this museum for anyone who appreciates art, and the culture that comes along with it.
If you re a Jimi fan, no need to think about it, visit the museum ASAP!
