I received a bill in January 2019 stating that I owe $1,278 from services rendered in July of 2017. I paid the bill immediately and have been attempting to work with the billing department and insurance company since. The original answer I got from the "Manager," KD, is that my insurance terminated prior to the service date. I contact my insurance provider and receive notice that the billing department did not submit the claim in time. I call KD back and she states that they didn't receive the correct insurance information prior to November 2018. Regardless, my address and phone number were the same in 2017 as it was at every appointment from July 2017 until now.

She then proceeds to tell me that she isn't required to bill my insurance, that it is done as a courtesy to the doctor's clients. I asked to speak to her boss, after all she isn't the chief of the company, and I have a voicemail from her stating (verbatim), ".... they said it's not worth their time to give you a call. I am the office manager and I speak for them."

Unfortunately, after almost 15 years of service with Dr. Sandra Phillips, I will be finding a new pediatrician for my children.
