It's an "okay" ski area. Not really a "resort". Ownership doesn't put a lot of money into the place. Facilities are old, the bathrooms remind me of the Port Authority bus station. The staff can be grouchy. Be prepared to spend The majority of your day on lifts. The runs can be super short (2-5 min tops) and icy. The wind is terrible, rarely a day when it is not an issue. Most times it's worth the extra hour drive to a real resort like Keystone, Winter Park, or Copper which leads to the main thing going for it which is the proximity to Boulder. This is why I'm giving 3 stars. On a day when I'm tired but want to get 5 or 6 quick runs in and still be able to have an afternoon running errands back in town it's great for that. Because it's close, it's often mobbed on weekends. The parking lot is a mess- it's a mud pit filled with too many Subarus. I have a RMSP+ but if I didn't I probably wouldn't ski here as their tickets and pass prices don't equal the quality of the place.
