In a location that overlooks the hustle and bustle...

In a location that overlooks the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas, The J. Paul Getty Center and Museum offer a wonderfully relaxing break from the busy city below. I have been to The Getty several dozen times and the reason is simple: I can finally breathe when I am up there! Beyond the fact that it is high above the smog-filled 405 freeway immediately adjacent, and beyond the beautiful hill-side scenery on all sides--The Getty practically sits upon a cloud and I have often described it as "heaven." You can have a picnic, drink a cocktail, sip on a freshly brewed latte or dine in one of their fancy restaurants as well as see priceless works of art, provocative photography and amazing sculptures. Every time I go to The Getty I see or discover something new. And, I always look forward to going again. Try to go on a clear day when the views are the most breath-taking. All you have to pay for is parking ($15), admission to the museum is free. Do yourself a favor and go as soon as you can. It is most certainly worth it.
