My wife and I booked a Studio Deluxe Suite (included whirlpool tub, fireplace, etc.) months in advance hoping to have a romantic stay for five days for our honeymoon. It's advertized as a sort of honeymoon/romantic suite. I called a few days before we left to make sure the reservation was all good, since we had not talked to anyone over the phone yet. The lady on the phone checked our reservation and said everything was in order. We arrived a few hours before check-in and the lady at the front allowed us to pre-check-in, but she said our room wasn't going to be available because some sort of maintenance was taking place. She said we were given a free upgrade to a two-bedroom villa. It included two queen beds, a king bed, a full kitchen, and two bathrooms. The problem was my wife and I don't need two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and two bathrooms for just two people. We wanted a whirlpool tub so we could relax when we came back to the hotel. I was disappointed that we weren't called and informed about this change before driving all the way to the beach, and then to have a representative try to make me think I was getting an "upgrade". It was an overall bad experience, and I chose to save a whole lot of money by booking a motel that was actually on the beach, rather than having to be shuttled to the beach at Marina Inn. I gave them an extra star because the hotel does seem to be a nice place despite this incident.
