Not only have I personally been here with my son for an emergency and had a horrible experience with the entire staff (especially the dr) but my grandmother was admitted here about a month ago for severe pneumonia, she had a "hole in her lung." The staff was very rude, including doctors, they didn't manage her pain (she already has leukemia and is in remission and her pain tolerance is normally very high, so if she says she is in pain, she is in PAIN!) They didn't give her any referrals or discharge information as far as to follow up and what needs to happen next or an explanation for that "hole" in her lung.

A financial adviser came in to discuss with her the bill. When she explained to them she could only commit to $50 a month, although she may be able to pay off more faster, they discharged her a mere 2 hours later. Hmm. How convenient!

Two weeks go by and my grandmother is in excruciating, unbearable pain. She goes to St. David's Georgetown Hospital. (Thank GOD for them!) Turns out, they discharged her in an unstable condition. She had an infection and fungus growing in her lungs, which very likely could have been caused IN the Cedar Park hospital.

I am beyond furious with the lack of consideration and compassion these people have at Cedar Park and this will not be the last they will hear from myself or my family.

DO NOT GO HERE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!!!! Please, if able, go to St. David's where they genuinely CARE, manage your pain, and make you comfortable while making sure you are stable when you're discharged.
