Very disappointing experience. I drove from Salt Lake City to Garden city (350 miles)one way to pick up a 2012 BMW z435i Vin WBALM7C56CE384680. I was advised the car is in perfect mechanical condition. I ran carfax and it looked clean including the photos they posted online. Had my cashiers check and ready to go.

However, when I ask to pop the hood and rev the engine it made a clicking sound above 1200 RPM from the passenger rear side. (Not good). I was advised they will call a mechanic and inspect it. So while the mechanic was to arrive I did a test drive and found a suspension issue mild clunk. I return the car back and said Sorry I'm not dropping 20K in this car. This is not going to happen with its current problems. They did offer a 3000-mile warranty. However, I decline as transparency should have been key when you have a person driving from such a distance. The car sat on their lot since August 28, 2020.

The moral of this is simple. I wasted 12 hrs 700 miles driving, and $200 in car rental. Honesty and transparency should have been key. This car should have been inspected by the dealer mechanic.

Would I recommend the dealer? Sadly no from this experience
