My son has been on dialysis since he was 11 years old, has related health problems, wanted to go to school, voc rehab did not follow through, he went to class first day to find out his schooling was not paid for. He tried several more times, voc rehab told him he would not live long enough to justify the investment. Doctors told him he would not live past 20, he is 41. All Voc Rehab ever offers him, is on the job training, which messes up his disability, and puts him on review lists, which are delayed until after COVID threat eases, after the election. He has almost lost both arms in the last 6 months due to blood clots. He could have had a degree and been supporting himself, working around medical, over the last 20 years, but Voc Rehab's crystal ball didn't support his hopes and dreams. They threw him away, just like the doctors do who can't figure out why he's still alive.
