I came here with my sister, who is majoring in science at a major university, and we were incredibly disappointed with our visit. First off, we had no idea that the science center is for children, there was hardly any interesting scientific information and half of the interactive portions of the museum were out of order.

As a designer myself, I was incredibly upset with the lack of detail that went into the exhibits. Things were taped up to the walls, signage was printed on 8.5x11 printer paper etc. The layout of the entire center was terrible....The entrance to building 1 brought you directly into the cafe and there was hardly any wayfinding to tell you where you were. We had to make our way through the cafe seating to find the staircase down to a random lobby.

Definitely do not come to the pacific science center if you are not with children or want to learn factual information.

And, if you have the Seattle City Pass, most definitely head to the Chihuly glass museum (it s a must see).
