Reception has informed me of a wait time of more than 2h arter I already waited for 20min preconsutation even though I have booked an appointment. No advance notification, no message in the morning, no advance call. The whole process of getting straight forward ultrasound scan is overly complicated with unnecessary steps, apparently it can take here up to 4h to complete an ultrasound process, when the ultrasound itself take a few minutes...the rest is admin, preconsutation (exactly the same as with GP, no difference) and wait time, then I have to explain in detailed way to 3 people all my symptoms even though my GP already noted them (it means 4 people in total need to hear the same thing to get a simple 5min scan). Very inefficient and stressful, especially if you take time off work or other things. No wonder NHS budged is stretched if 4x consultation and paperwork needs to be financed instead of 1x...
