We got a horrible room on their "Walker Inn" side. It faced an alley with no natural light, noise from people down below, STRONG SMELL OF CIGARETTE SMOKE ALL NIGHT from the smoking area of the bar about 15 feet away (AND from hotel and restaurant staff smoking right outside our room in the alley), ANTS all over the bathroom (found them crawling on our towels), and broken shower knobs with poor temperature control. We were also woken up at 6:45am to what seemed like an earthquake but turned out to be the DUMPSTER right under our window being moved and emptied.

I called down as soon as we smelled the cigarette smoke the first night, because I have a history of asthma and I am very sensitive to it. They said they couldn't do anything except have security go tell the smokers in the alley to leave (which they did, but they kept coming back). They did move us to another room the second night, and when I asked to speak to the manager (J.R. Billings), we were told that he would get in touch with us. He never did.

This entire situation and lack of response from management is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this class. At the very least, they need to invest in better insulation for any windows facing that direction. But honestly, please just avoid this hotel.
