This review is for 22 Portside, which is an additional outdoor bar and seating area next to and affiliated with 22 Bowen.
No reservations, first come first serve. All other restaurants told us a wait of 90-120 minutes (including 22 Bowen) on a beautiful Sunday, July 2 evening. We were told about 1 hour here, which was on the money. Standing room only around the bar, easily got drinks, eventually sat down at a "high-top" bar rail along the port side of the area. We could have eaten there, but wanted a table and knew we were about to be seated.
Service was prompt and excellent. We split lobster Mac and cheese for an app, then had lobster roll and 12oz sirloin {medium) with bordelaise sauce and mashed potatoes.
Everything was excellent. Only issue with the lobster roll was the bun. It was toasted but came cool, and was a lot of bread.
We had a glass of wine and beer before dinner, then another glass of wine and scotch neat for dinner. No dessert. Total bill with tip (20%) came to $167.
Would definitely go back.
