I came into the store about two months ago to possibly sell a 1/2 karat diamond engagment ring with a platinum band. I have had the ring for a long time and thought it was time to let go of it. The man that I dealt with wasn't very nice to me. Really it was just his tone and the way he said what he said to me. As soon as I put the ring in front of him he said, "I can already tell you I don't want to buy this but I will look at it for you if you want anyway." I agreed and he looked at it and said "I don't want to buy this but the most I will give you is $75.00 for the weight of the metal because there is zero demand for a marquise cut diamond." I decided to hang on to the ring. It was okay that he wasn't interested in the ring, I wasn't expecting much for it anyway. It was just the way he treated me. I felt really embarrassed for coming in. It was also disappointing because I drove a really long way because they have such a great reputation. I just feel like I could have been treated a little bit better.
