I love the Audubon zoo. The monkey hill and the flamingos are my favorite areas. The zoo train actually shows you animals you can't see from just walking around and I felt was worth the few extra dollars. The zoo is quite large and during the hot humid summer's of New Orleans, come prepared with water and cool clothing. They also have a splash pad area, but last time I was there it cost extra and I didn't think it was worth it for the size and features available. But overall a great zoo
