I ve been a member at the Chatham Club (CC) since September 2013 and I am very happy with the selection of offered classes, which is regularly updated. Most importantly, I feel very comfortable working out here. Most fitness clubs feel corporate and impersonal; however, the CC promotes a community atmosphere. You are warmly greeted by the staff at the front desk each day.

While the CC is on the pricier side, I would definitely recommend it. Membership includes 3 initial personal training sessions to be scheduled within your first 90 days of membership. Additionally, the CC offers their members complimentary tune up personal training sessions every 3 months intended to tweak one s current workout . Members are free to have those sessions with any of the trainers. Not many gyms provide that perk in their memberships.

For those looking for a gym without a year s commitment, the CC offers that flexibility - there are no contracts. The gym is on the smaller size, but it is well equipped and the locker rooms are roomy and well maintained. There are free weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, resistance bands, TRX and more. If you are unfamiliar with their use, there is a trainer assigned to cover the fitness floor who will show you.

The fitness instructors are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The classes offered such as spin, yoga, HIIT or muscle shock are taught by different individuals so the mood of the classes is distinctive. The personal fitness trainers run the gamut in their experience and expertise, so you will be able to work with someone that fits your goals and personality.

I work out in the mornings and when using the cardio machines rarely is there a wait. There are plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, stairmasters, etc. The best part is that it's very clean; most members are cognizant of other patrons wiping down the machine with antibacterial wipes provided at various stations placed throughout the gym. Personally, I m glad that there are quite a few water coolers positioned throughout the Club. In my old gym, I had to rely on a water fountain to refill my water bottle, which unfortunately was metallic in its taste.

The squash courts are a bonus; however, to use them, you will have to pay for premium membership. Last year I took part in a ladies clinic and now there is a group of us that routinely get together to play. Love the game!

Overall, I enthusiastically endorse the Chatham Club :)
