I really want to like this hotel; the poolside is absolutely beautiful and I believe they take care of loyally Hyatt members with a nice view. However, there were several issues (some mentioned, many not as I d prefer not to complain too much). As much as I d like to love this hotel, I anticipate my family will never return as the biggest flaw is that the beds/pillows/sheets are awful. I switched to Hyatt this year and will be a Globalist very soon based on preferring Hyatt s bedding.. but this location is just not up to par with our other Hyatt experiences. Sadly I can t seem to pinpoint what it is, but there is a HORRIBLE sound at this hotel that gives me a headache (which I almost never get headaches). It s a strong tone every few seconds. We stayed Thanksgiving night, as well as a few days later (today, Sunday) and it s here both days/nights making it near impossible to sleep. We are almost 2 weeks in on our Florida vacation and no where else have I heard this sound. Both nights were on high floors facing the pool so I m not sure what it is. It s not the refrigerator or our AC so it s just odd. I mentioned it to the manager tonight when asking for earplugs and he was kind but unsure of what it is. That confirms it s not some local tone like maybe something for boats. It literally sounds like something the military could use to drive people crazy it s that bad. PS: I d rate a 7/10 so 3.5 stars if that were possible as the manager was kind when bringing the sound issue to his attention. All the hair in our room tonight and the bellmen standing around not opening the door for my family with 2 small children with hands full of bags when checking in today are forgivable but doesn t meet desired expectations.
