I wasn't home when the job was performed (crew was very fast and efficient and I missed them by a few minutes). I was surprised to see that, though they had cut the tree down neatly to its base, they had left the stump. After calling the office to inquire, I found out that stump removal was an extra cost item, adding 50% to my bill. Turned out I had not read my quote carefully enough, and the estimator had not pointed this out to me when he inspected the site. To make things right, despite having suffered a separated shoulder earlier in the week, "Andrew", the manager, personally came out the same day with an impressive machine to grind up the remaining tree stump for what I considered to be a modest, affordable extra charge. Andrew clearly went above and beyond the call of duty to correct the situation, to satisfy a residential customer, and to protect the reputation of his company. I can see now why Maple Hill has been successful. It's because of people like Andrew.
