Let me warn you about what roofing company you decide to go with. You pick the wrong one and you can be evicted from your home. It is very easy for a roofing company to put a lien on your house and you have no recourse and cannot access your equity. If what I write is false, I would get sued.
Beyond Roofing came to my door and said, You have hail damage . My husband had just died from gastric cancer and I was exhausted from taking care of him on home hospice. I never had a claim before or a new roof so I didn t understand Beyond Roofing was cheating me until it was too late.
We signed the contract in May for a Decra roof shingle. My copy of the contract only had my signature. Later, Beyond Roofing crossed out Decra but did not write in another roofing shingle and BR stated we never agreed to Decra but they wrote the contract I signed and it shows Decra. They will not inform me in writing what they put on my roof but I have learned it is a discontinued Tamko Metalworks shingle and they are Tamko Pros. They stole the insurance money and put a worthless shingle on my roof.
They finally started work late August, three months after I signed the contract, but they would send workers only once a week so the roof took seven weeks to complete. For many weeks I only had the white membrane as my roof and my neighbors kept asking if Beyond Roofing had abandoned the job. Once you sign the contract Beyond Roofing can collect money from you even if they do no work.
An inside worker stood around for three full days doing nothing because Beyond Roofing would never send a roofer to work with him. I kept begging Beyond Roofing to send workers to my house and they would ignore me. One day the owner Bob Pachmayer showed up and never came to the front door to introduce himself, I had never met him and did not know who he was. He walked through two gates to my backyard. When I came out my back door he started yelling at me and blaming me for all the problems and delays. When I started crying he laughed at me because he knew I had no recourse. You are held by the contract but Beyond Roofing is not.
Beyond Roofing installed a skylight crooked, left holes in my interior walls, roofing debris filled my attic, and they do not have to fix!!! They cheated Liberty Mutual claiming they took off composite shingles on the garage and there were never composite shingles on the garage. BR is not satisfied making a normal profit and will cheat to get more $$$. They tried and failed to take almost $4000 my insurance company was reimbursing me, they were not awarded this money in arbitration so they did not get everything they were trying to steal from me. Read the back of the contract, they can take the insurance money even if the money is your reimbursement and rightfully yours.
The gutters are unsightly and leak. BR started threatening me with an 18% lien on my property. I received no warranties. The will not inform me what shingle they put on my roof but it is not the one in the contract.
We went to arbitration and Brian Friend and David Pursley lied in affidavits but would not be available to be cross-examined. Beyond Roofing uses a very expensive national law firm so you will never win against them even if they outright commit fraud. Bob Pachmayer bought a roofing company with a great reputation but he decided to trade the reputation for ill-gotten gains. Greed and trying to put a recent widow out on the street makes him laugh. I am financially ruined but I am still here to warn others. This was the worst experience of my life and I am close to 60 and my husband had just died. Roof Corp and Oh My Roof both helped me after I was swindled and they seem like really good companies.
