I has ALIF (spine fusion) surgery at Amita in Elk Grove and ended up in serious condition at another hospital. The Hospitalist and Surgeon lack of follow-up almost killed me. I begged them to look at my incision and my leg. I was discharged with an incision infection, a large amount of fluid in my abdomen, a blood clot that went from the top of my leg more than half way down my thigh, and untreated Anemia. I had to have emergency surgery at another hospital and they told me the chance I would survive was slim. Please, please rethink any decision to go here! In addition, I tried to get erroneous information in my medical file corrected and the person in Admissions (who I was told were the only department that could update the medical record) made it clear she had no desire to help and just hung up! Nothing about this place is good!
