The location was great, but the hotel is very date...

The location was great, but the hotel is very dated and in poor repair. The room was clean, but the mattress was very old and lumpy. Oddly, the carpet was also lumpy. The rooms don't appear to have been updated since 1985. I mean, it's 2016 and the TV was not a flatscreen. The elevator was out for over an hour when I got in, and I think someone was stuck in there. Still, for the price, it's hard to beat. One staff member was slightly rude to me, but the rest were just lovely and more than made up for it. Would recommend for budget travellers, but otherwise I'd only recommend it if the hotel chain gets it together and updates things. Their European locations are great and I was disappointed because I expected something similar.
