I've been dealing with a mold issue in my apartment since February. For months, Bohan Company was completely negligent and unresponsive to me and to our landlord. We cleaned and re-cleaned a large swath of black mold that grew on our bedroom wall. Throughout March, April, May, June, July, and August, it grew back despite additional contact by my landlord to Bohan Company. Finally, out of desperation, I hand-wrote a note and taped it to a neighbor's door, who I knew was involved in the HOA. My neighbor finally looped in Keith Kelly from the Bohan Company, who responded and (after much teeth pulling and continuous emailing from me) approved the construction company's work to begin. They also insinuated that my renters insurance would cover alternate accommodations, which is absurd because this building and the mold issue is 100% their fault. In any case, I checked with my renters insurance, and mold abatement is not covered. Finally, they agreed to cover our alternate accommodations for the period of the drywall reconstruction. However, they are refusing to pay for accommodation during the leak repair. So, I will be sleeping on my living room floor for a week or two while my bed is disassembled.

I'm really disappointed by The Bohan Company's unprofessionalism and complete lack of care. Keith Kelly basically only responded to us when his money was on the line. If he had cared about this work being done, he would have taken action in February, when we made our initial complaint. I do not trust Bohan Company to get work done, and I do not trust that they have the customer's best interest in mind.

Let it be known that I am fastidious about cleaning/dusting/wiping/sun/ventilation, so this mold is entirely caused by an outside leak, as confirmed by multiple outside inspectors, not by tenant negligence.

I also emailed Bart, the owner, who did not bother to respond to my emails.

Avoid Bohan Company at all costs. I'm sorry that it had to come down to a bitter Google review, but at this point, I feel that I've given the benefit of the doubt to Bohan Company, and they have not been cooperative or collaborative at all. No one wanted this mold to be here, least of all me. Bohan Company had multiple opportunities to solve this problem early. They chose not to.
