Complete loss of confidence - A year and half, and 10,000 miles ago I had my engine air filter replaced at Inver Grove Toyota. 6 months and 5,000 miles ago I had my regular maintenance done there. One week ago, I stopped at a Valvoline oil change for a quick oil change, and they showed me there was no engine air filter in the air box. The only people who has been under the hood prior to last week was Inver Grove Toyota. The inspection report from 6 months ago indicated the air filter was checked. I could have been driving for 10,000 miles without an air filter, and they did not bother to check it 5,000 miles ago. Or during the last inspection, they took out the filter and did not replace it. Either way it is not acceptable and betrayal of trust at this facility. Do I have to check my oil every time I have it changed there to make sure it has been filled?
