St. Ignatius Loyola Church is not a very good venue for this group. First of all, it is a church. There is no space for a waiting audience. It is necessary to wait outside in the cold and then to be packed into the tiny vestibule leading into the church. Second, the church did not organize entry very well. Only after the crowd entered the vestibule did they try to make a line leading into the church. By then the vestibule was packed and the waiting audience couldn't move. Third, the church is COLD! The music is beautiful and but the sound in the church gets lost. Into the bargain it is necessary to keep your coat on during the performance. I went to see Chanticleer when they performed at The Metropolitan Museum and at St. Ignatius. The Metropolitan Museum was by far the more hospitable venue. It is a shame that such a wonderful singing group is presented in such a cold, inhospitable venue as St. Ignatius.
