My wife and I spent our anniversary there a few years ago, and while the hotel itself was extremely great and the location was perfect, the staff was very quick to tell us that we weren t invited to spend any time in their dining areas or bars. They immediately judged us by our appearance (I m heavily tattooed and showed up after working a full day and making the few hour long drive in gym clothes), and made a point to ask us to dine elsewhere. Luckily we were staying in their corner king spa suite, which was nice enough for us not to leave until we checked out in the morning. I haven t stayed in an IHG hotel since then, and I m more than willing to give all of my business to Marriott / Ritz, Hyatt, and Hilton. If anyone is looking for a better experience and better staff, make your way downtown and stay at the Ritz Carlton or The Bellevue.
