I just moved back from overseas & I just got a new mobile number. I know that online spamming is really bad in Singapore, where others will sell your contact details to this online marketeers, online loan sharks & betting & so forth. Only been back here for 2 weeks now, I haven't given my contact number to anyone, except for my job resume that I sent in to this recruitment firm. Within the next day or so after they viewed my resume (according to jobstreet website, they will show you whether your resume has been viewed by the respective company you are applying jobs with), I started receiving spam messages & phone calls from overseas unknown callers. Something smell fishy here.
