One of Kansas City's most historic BBQ joints. I wasn't impressed the first time I tried it, but figured it deserved a second chance. The open face burnt ends sandwich was pretty disappointing. The burnt ends lacked the flavor and texture that make them my go to order. They tasted like they had been sitting in a warming tray for hours and the sauce they were swimming in was almost the consistency of thick gravy. I really want to like this place, but it will definitely be a while before I give them another shot. If they didn't have the history and awesome atmosphere, I would probably have opted for 2 stars.
