This airport does its job and it does it well. It's much easier and less stressful to navigate than SFO. There are ample food options past security. From arriving at the airport to reaching the gate must have taken around 25-30 minutes max on a lazy Thursday morning.

The only somewhat annoying thing about SJC is that it's not particularly easy to get to from the rest of the Bay Area via public transit - you have to take the Caltrain to San Jose Diridon station and then either take a city bus or take the VTA light rail - not bad, but not great either. But if you are ok with either struggling through public transit or taking an Uber/taxi, then this may just be the best airport in the Bay area.
