As an stg member of the hotel i called to make a reservation around 10pm for 1 night, so i asked the staff who was making the reservation for me to give me a better rate as im coming late and checking out early and plus im a frequent guest and a stg member ,the staff said that nothing was in his hands and he can talk to the manager that he might give a better rate, when Mr.talal the night manager talked to me , he answered by a very sharp tone of voice, asking me what i want without introducing himself as he should ,saying that no one told him the issue before talking to me, showing a very poor communication between the staff, so when i explained to him that im a member and that i like the hotel and i want a better rate and i dont want to choose another hotel, he told me that there is nothing he can do about that ,and this is our prices either take it or find another hotel next to us, for sure they have better prices, what kind of manager will talk to a guest like that, and show disinterest in having them , and promote other hotels, very unprofessional staff for a 5 stars hotel, and i think the santregis managment should know about that if they really care about their guests, and change the criteria of recruitment because the staff are the image of the hotel .
This will be my last time staying in santregis or even going to the restaurants inside it.
And i wouldnt recommend anyone to be a stg member, they will just make you believe that you will benefit from discounted rates while making reservations and inside the restaurants , because you will benefit from nothing, not even a normal treatment.
