I went to a Pep Boys in Philadelphia for a loose front panel to be reattached to my car. When it was time to leave , I was given a duplicate key with the buttons missing.

The Assistant Service manager stated the key fell on the ground and the rubber membranes fell out. He said that a "front cover" would be ordered from Amazon and refused to replace the key. I asked to see the "membranes" that had fallen out of the key. He said that they could not be found.

I filed a police report with the location of the Pep Boys and description of the incidence. I had to to contact a locksmith to give me a new key. The total cost was $200.00. I am requesting full reimbursement for this key.

I have photos of the key with the "missing membranes". It is truly amazing. This was a simple car repair with this added bonus.
