Go somewhere else. Either New Horizon in St. Clairsville or Ohio State's vet center for major surgery (they are very affordable and everything is state of the art).

Brought a dog in with a leg laceration. My wife continually told the vet she was concerned about his tendon because his foot was basically flopping around. The vet said that we would have to wait a few days to see what was going on.

Went to New Horizon in St. Clairsville a few days later for a bandage change. While there I am told if there is tendon issues it should have been addressed the day of the injury not days later like we were told at Animal Urgent Care. We are advised to immediately go to Ohio State for imaging work and possibly surgery.

At Ohio State we were told that had the tendon issues been addressed immediately via surgery our dogs foot would have healed exactly as it was before with a super high probability of success. However, because we waited so long (as the animal urgent care vet told us to) we would have to splint his foot, keep him severely immobilised and if we were we're lucky he might get some function back.

The most frustrating part of this experience is when the senior veterinary student came in at Ohio State to examine the foot with the tendon damage she said "Wow it looks exactly like in the textbook". We went through a very lengthy experience to try and get our dogs foot fixed and at the end of the day it didn't work. If Animal Urgent knew what they were doing our dogs quality of life would be much higher and we wouldn't have had to go through months of splints, bandage changes, and carrying our dog up and down stairs with nothing to show for it.
