I had a car accident on 7/5 as a result of losing consciousness and crashing into a tree. My car was totalled and I sustained deep black & blue bruises over half of my body. I was treated at Howard Hospital emergency room where my family was told I had suffered a "mini-stroke" and suggested I see a neurologist. The neurologist I saw at GWMFA ordered an EEG and told me to ask his assistant to get the records from Howard. That never happened; I called time after time and left messages beause no one answered the phone. After the EEG, I saw the neurologist again. He said the EEG was fine and when another doctor came in I asked why I'm having sharp pains all over my head ... she said it must be "ice pick headaches" (which I never heard of) but neither of them did anything for the pain. The next time I saw him, he gave me two shots IN MY SHOULDER for pain. I never knew neurologists also specialized in orthopeadics too! I still have the hard/stabbing pains in my head and I am still no closer to finding out when I blacked out and crashed my car than when the accident happened. My son highly recommends GWMFA, so I've continued to go there; but none of my appointments (urology, cardiology, neurology) have helped me at all. I'm just sayin ...
