Judging by some of the other comments, the architecture doesn't suit some people but the original university is classic Brutalist style architecture akin to the Southbank and the Barbican, designed by Denys Lasdun. More recent additions are competent but fairly ubiquitous uni building style. The whole campus is set in the lovely Earlham Park - no-one can complain of that - and includes the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art which conceals a treasure-house of World Art and contemporary sculpture and painting by the likes of Bacon, Giacometti, Gormley, Moore and many more well-known and talented artists as well as touring and temporary exhibitions. The whole university is well-run and known especially for its creative writing and computer science courses as well as medicine and education
