I would like to share my story, my experiences with Peter Brown, my Coach.

I'm of retirement age; returned to Canada a few years ago. Not one to be idle, I discovered a need in the food industry. I reached out to many of the wonderful institutions available to entrepreneurs like us for development and fine tuning the business plan. All were instrumental in development and growth. They remain a positive support to this day.

I'm thinking I was 2 years in when I was introduced to Peter by my Graphic Designer. Purpose - manage the growth that was knocking at my door. I was looking forward to talking with someone who was willing to share their hands on experiences, who had walked the walk to successes.

This was a unique experience! Why you ask?

Peter's approach on our first meeting! Of course we discussed the current business details, mission, visions and what I was looking to gain from this collaboration. Then he eased into a conversation. How did I come up with this concept, what inspires me, what makes me smile, what is great and what is not so great about where I am right now? He wasn't just talking about the business. How do you define success? Where do I see myself next year, 5 years from now, etc.? I realized he wanted to know 'what made me tick'. He wanted to understand what was in my heart first...so he could address how to grow forward with the business to accomplish my vision of success.

Now let's get to work he says, and we did! Establishing realistic strategies to achieve the short term and long term goals, with confidence.

Peter's written words of 'my vision of success' is framed and hangs proudly on the wall above this computer. His knowledge, his words inspire me every day.

My message to you - embrace the wisdom the experienced have to offer. Been there, done that, either themselves or with so many others is worth volumes. Share, listen, laugh and be inspired.
