This pub, locally known as the Murderers Arms, is a splendid, wood beamed, multi-floored pub with excellent pub food. The Norfolk sausages, mash and gravy is mouthwatering and the steak and ale pie? The same. There is a large selection of real ales on tap with a number of local ales well worth trying. The pub is decorated by broadsheet stories of murderers which add to the atmosphere when you find out why it's called the Murderers Arms. The back of the pub has a lovely selection of concert posters from the sixties and seventies. Even better, on Thursday it has live blues. All this does not cost a fortune - in fact, both beer and food are eminently affordable. For visitors to Norwich, it is not to be missed.
