Took my car in for a rear break pad change and oil change. They look the car over, checking filters, tire tread, etc. And call you back. I called to check on the progress cause I hadn t heard and I really needed the car back since I live out of town. They got busy which is understandable and hadn t had the chance to call back. The break pads were too far gone and caused damage to the rotors. They changed $50 per rotor. $20-$30 more than what I could have gotten at an auto parts shop. They checked the cabin filter which had leaves in it that were left on the floorboard. Didn t clean that up.
Also while there, I had all the recalls check out. My particular Mazda has a defective dash that apparently melts. Leaving it sticky and shiny. Since my car was bought salvaged, the warranty is void and couldn t get it replaced. However they had placed a piece of paper on the sticky part of the dash and left it there. I ended up taking it off cause obviously I don t want it there. And the paper tore leaving some on the dash. Wasn t overly thrilled with that.
