I purchased my Elantra back in November 2014 and it was a pretty smooth transaction (to be fair, they didn't do much- another dealership did all of the leg work). I purchased a winter tire package and was told that they would put them *on* my car since the snow would come soon. Flash forward to December 2016 and my winter tires are done because I haven't changed them since I purchased the car (horrible, I know). I took my car in to check out some winter tires and SURPRISE- my tires are actually summer tires! I called them to find out where my winter tires were. I left not 1, not 2, but 3 voice mails with my sales person before anyone got back to me. They told me they were put *in* my car. My car isn't that big- I honestly don't think 4 winter tires would even fit in the trunk, and I would have noticed them if they were in the car. So would the sales person who handed the car off to me. Also, why would you put winter tires *in* my car when it's winter!? He emailed me the bill of sale, and so I replied. No response, of course. I left another voice mail and got a call back later that day saying the GM would call later that day. No call back. 2 days later I finally hear from him. They are adamant that the tires were checked out of inventory, charged to the car etc. He told me they would sell me a set of winter tires at cost, and would call me back within an hour with a quote. Guess what? No call back! I realize this is my fault for not realizing the error until 2 years later, but I really do not understand how this happened- all I know is that I'm out $736 for winter tires that I absolutely never received.
