This is a must stop if you have to be in Philadelphia for any length of time and need to find something to do as it is good to see the history behind the establishment of this great country that many have given their lives to bring this about. If you do come, do not limit your visit to just the center but head over to Carpenters Hall, Betsey Ross house and if time permits a visit to the Atwater Kent Museum that I unfortunately have not been to since my elementary school days many many years ago but remember it as being one of my favorite school trips. Living in South Jersey I often dread coming into Philadelphia especially after getting a parking ticket because of the confusing signs they have so I would recommend that if you are coming for the day to park at one of the PATCO stations and ride the train in. Just make sure you are ready to do some walking.
