Valerie Ciesicki Review of Eiffel Tower Restaurant

My husband and I were looking forward to kicking off our most recent Las Vegas trip with dinner at the Eiffel tower restaurant. We made our reservation months in advance. The main attraction of this restaurant is supposed to be the view, but we were seated in the corner and had absolutely no view (just the hotel's closed pool). I'm not sure that sitting elsewhere would have been much better. When I got up to use the restroom I had to fight the flow of traffic to and from the table because the walkways were so narrow; the whole layout just feels very cramped and the large posts going through the restaurant at an angle don't help. It was very difficult for me to understand our waiter due to his accent and the background noise of the restaurant. He seemed annoyed repeating himself. The only good thing about our experience was my entree. I got the rossini style filet mignon and it was very good -- cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the bone-in ribeye with bone marrow and was very disappointed. He said there was nothing special about it. I had been looking forward to getting dessert but in the end we just couldn't wait to get out of there. Add to that a very long, awkward wait for the elevator (which is in the kitchen for some reason) with a hostess when I was in no mood to make small talk after a disappointing experience. At the end of our trip we had dinner at a much less hyped steakhouse and marveled at how much better it was. In the end eating at the Eiffel tower restaurant was something we crossed off our Vegas "to do" list but we would never go back again.
