Major disappointment. We booked at this hotel because we had a long, overnight layover and thought we would be too tired to go into Madrid proper from the airport. Sadly, I regret staying here. All the reasons I had for booking were foiled in actuality. The airport shuttle was a disaster, it was too full to take all the passengers needed - often times people were angry, the driver was flustered, and some ended up having to take a taxi instead of this "complimentary" airport shuttle. The shuttle covered 2 hotels, so it dropped you off at the other hotel and you would have to do a short walk to the other one. They nearly didn't have enough room for us to return to the airport in the morning, and had they not fixed it - I would have really lost it on them! I was really excited about the wellness center, but it closed by the time we checked in and wouldn't be open by the time we had to leave. There was no room service so if I wanted to eat I would have to pay an arm and a leg for the adjacent restaurant's overpriced spaghetti... So I ended up ordering quite a sad meal via Deliveroo. Just something short of disastrous overall. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets scratchy, the amenities were cheap... The room was good sized, it had a safe, and the bathroom was also a good size, but it had no bathtub. Not a very relaxing hotel, more utilitarian than anything. Also, we were by the elevator so I'm certain it was noisier than most rooms. Speaking of the elevators they were rather slow... like the staff, only the staff were also a bit rude and unhelpful. Wouldn't stay here again, wouldn't recommend staying here.
