My expectations were high for the famous Sam Diego...

My expectations were high for the famous Sam Diego Zoo, but it was a little underwhelming. I'm not sure if it just happened to be the day we were there, but the "Elephant Odyssey" had two elephants. Not much of an Odyssey... The grizzly bears were gone. The panda habitat had just recently been closed also. The kids seemed to have a good time however. The food was pretty good. The best part was how many people were walking around engaging with the kids and teaching them about the animals. I would still recommend it, but don't expect it to blow your mind.
