Definitely a must see if in Athens. Go before 9am to miss some of the rush of people that swarm in like Disney land and to hike up the hill in cooler weather. Could be hard to get any pictures without a group of tourists in them if visiting later.
There is a lot of archeological work going on so expect scaffolds, tools and equipment on site as well.
I enjoyed sitting on the steps with my sketchbook and also people watching. Enjoy!
