I really hope this place goes out of business or has the largest lawsuit they will have no other choice but to hire compitent and caring medical ER staff.
The ONLY reason I visited this ER today was because my wonderful GYN performed a hysterectomy 10 days prior. I had been in communication with him and his staff since the surgery. I followed the surgery discharge orders and went to the ER due to excruciating pain. Pain that prescribed (I was on my second second set) meds wouldn t bring me any relief and my symptoms worsened. I could barely walk (felt as if something was going to fall out of me), sharp stabbing pains in my vaginal and pelvic area. I was lightheaded, freezing and dry heaving to name a few symptoms following a major surgery.

Dr. Kari Kulp (the ER doctor or lack thereof) bedside manners were beyond HORRIBLE. She asked me the same questions several times such as why I had a hysterectomy. She gave me morphine for pain, performed urinalysis, CT scan, and gave me more morphine for my pain (which never went away), then discharged me. I had several questions but she seemed to be annoyed.
I asked her would she please consult the GYN on call as this pain was abnormal (unbearable) and had me in tears (I had my children natural 12+ hours of labor and this pain was worse). I told this pseudo doctor that I had been up for over 30 hours without any sleep due to the pain. I asked her what was the protocol when discharging a patient with a fresh shot of morphine in their system, she said they would have to wait 4 hours. That was was understandable until she told me I couldn t wait in the bed I was in. Better yet, any bed.
I was still in pain beyond exhausted. I asked If I could sleep the 3 hours I had left, to remain compliant with the hospital rules. She told me no and that I needed to find someone to pick me up at 4am. I explained to her that I was 1000 miles from home without any family here. I didnt have anyone to pick me up. She said I couldn t use the bed I was in and I needed to go sleep in the chair in the waiting room (sitting upright where the pain was located for 3 hours). She very rudely stated they can t hold rooms and needed them for other patients. I didn t ask her to hold a room, I just asked to be discharged per the hospital policy.
My insurance, deductible and co-insurance is paid at 100%. I m sure my insurance company would rather pay for 3 hours of me sleeping off morphine, than me being brought back by EMS due to a collision.

As I left, there was only 1 patient in a room, the other rooms were empty and the waiting room was empty as well (I took pictures date and time stamped). A non-medical worker pleaded with me to not drive home which is in a different town.

Lastly, the nurse smelled of stale ciggerrettes and hands were filthy. He was just as rude when he triaged me. Let me remind you I was in pain and in tears. He asked me if I spoke with my doctor today I told him no because he was on vacation, but I spoke th his staff yesterday. This unkepted nurse who never washed his hands nor wore gloves lectured me on how there s an entire team of on call doctors.

I would never go back to this ER, their service does not deserve 1 cent! I was treated like an animal today and I plan to get this story in the right hands so another patient won t have to endure what I had to!. There s a reason this hospital has less than a 2 star rating on many websites.
