My mother has been very ill and unable to get in and out of bed without assistance. Sadly, on several occasions, she wet her bed, because she could not get up on her own. Since we were unable to give her 24/7 care, our family decided that the best option would be an electronic hospital bed. The insurance company gave us a list of equipment suppliers and I called Safeway. I was pleasantly greeted by Lubna (spelling?) and Vern, who clearly explained my options and associated costs. They immediately faxed the request to my mother's doctor to get the ball rolling. Once her doctor finally faxed back the form, Theresa helped expedite the insurance approval and coordinated the delivery of the bed the very next day! Anytime I called into Safeway, whether I spoke to Lubna, Vern, Maureen, Ed, or Theresa, I was absolutely blown away by the kindness that I was treated with. While I was overwhelmed with my mother's deteriorating health, they took on the burden of diligently managing the paperwork. They treated my mother's needs with urgency and personal care. I felt like she was a top priority. You just don't find this kind of extraordinary service at most retail stores these days. I am beyond grateful that I had the blessing of working with the incredible folks at Safeway. They were instrumental in providing the relief and assistance that my mother so desperately needed. Thank you!
