I was very disappointed with the reception received from a member of staff (appeared just like the CIA personnel one sees on the films) who would not shake hands and spoke to me only from behind railings, despite the fact that I was trying to be helpful to members of the US forces. I always thought that Americans were warm and welcoming, I have now changed my mind. What a pity.
