Jim Shear, the President of Cambridge Metals and P...

Jim Shear, the President of Cambridge Metals and Plastics is a crook. I started a component company in 2009, and contracted CM&P to work on a bicycle handlebar. I flew from Oregon to MN, shook hands and was shown the facility. A deposit was given for the work to be done. A deadline was given.
No work was done, no work was ever able to be proven to be done (ie. tooling, samples, CAD plans), nothing but a bunch of empty promises.
2 months after the original deadline, I pulled the plug and found someone else, and expected, asked, and demanded my deposit to be given back. I was told only partial re-payment was possible, leaving ~$3250 on the table for CM&P, due to work already performed. Work that was never, ever remotely proven to be done or shown.
I have the letter of cancellation from the President Jim Shear if anyone wants to see "his" side of the story.
This has been in the back of my books for years, and like a bad night out, I blocked it out. Cleaning out the file cabinet brought back the utter disgust I have for this company. Ripping off the start-up guy, many miles away is their specialty.
Sincerely,
Chris Sullivan
