This company has SO many times ripped me off. I went over on my data last month and paid a hefty fee for that overage (I take full responsibility) however, when I called to pay the bill I looked into other options for more data so that I wouldn t have to pay such a high fee again if I went over. Who knows, maybe it d be worth it to pay more monthly to avoid the charges and know I won t have to monitor my family s internet usage. (That s what I thought anyhow)
So the same day I made my super pricey payment for my Internet and the data cap overage I decided to start up unlimited data which was only 20$ more a month. Thought that was a steal. Was told it would be applied same day. Stressed to the woman who started it up for me that I have to avoid these extra fees and wanted to make sure it wouldn t have any other start up fees etc. she ASSURED ME that 1. It was applied immediately. 2. Since it was applied immediately my bill would reflect that and I won t have to worry about an overage on my next bill. 3. Even gave me the dollar amount that my bill would be when it came. Surprise surprise my bill came and there s ANOTHER data cap overage. I spent TOO much time on the phone with two different employees who could not help me. I was told that unlimited data wasn t applied until the end of that billing cycle, not the same day. So I m over here using wifi like TP and that was most definitely reflected in my most recent bill. I asked THREE times to speak with a supervisor or something of the sort before I was told that they are ALL in a two hour meeting and that I can try to call back then. This is ridiculous. Don t they record our conversations with the representatives? I SURE hope so, because I took notes. Sad that I should have to consider recording my own conversations with them to ensure that they hold up their end of the bargain. Customer service left much to be desired, and this is not the first time. The only other provider out here is not good quality, but I d rather deal with poor quality internet than this type of scenario time and time again.
