Welcome may not be the best word to use for this Mecure. We really didn't have any of the hotel staff really help us when we arrived or left. They were very preoccupied with computer screens doing some kind of work. Lobby felt like it was shoehorned into the ground floor. The two lifts would often be very busy so be prepared to wait during the morning or evening rush. The room was ok but on the plus it was spacious. The bathroom was a bit claustrophobic for a Mercure property. The decor was ok but you could see where the room itself could use a quick splash of paint or some new skirtboards. Breakfast was so so. The usual soggy bacon and eggs in and a pancake machine that was almost always needed a refill when we ate at 8am. The breakfast area does get very busy so be prepared to go early or later if you can afford to. This Mecure did have a shared bar/meals area with the Pullman. We did like the Wagyu burgers when we did eat there hut seating is limited.

Overall it feels like this property is under some sort of upgrade as there were areas with temporary walls. Maybe the upgrades will bring this hotel back to the usual standard I expect when traveling to Accor properties and the Mecure brand.
